Greetings Everyone, Today I am writing you as the proud President of Singles Outreach Services. I wish to take a moment and reflect upon my past years of serving as your president. I remember a lot of good times spent here at events, and the many friendships made over the years, some who are gone now and missed dearly. These thoughts enter my mind as I put the final touches on our upcoming anniversary party to be held on Friday, October 18th. This year will mark forty-one years that we have been here for singles in Albany and surrounding counties. On October 21st, 1983, one man settled here after traveling and living in different parts of the globe. One man who had a dream, a vision, and saw the need for a singles organization in this area. One man who took action to obtain a DBA to start Singles Outreach, one man who came, who saw, who delivered. That man was none other than our founder and friend Gregg Baldwin Millett, PhD. A man who had the skills to talk to someone new and make them feel welcomed, who took that skill and applied it to many who became members, one man with the ability to speak on behalf of his organization and raise awareness by word of mouth and build the corporation of Singles Outreach Services Inc. that by the twelfth of August 1985 turned his dream, his idea, into a successful corporation. A corporation that reached at one time over 5,000 members, and to date had served over 45,000 members who have come and gone over the course of forty-one years. I joined too late, as I never got to meet Gregg, however those I have met and the friends I have made have enriched my life immensely. For that alone I am thankful to Gregg, perhaps the greatest man I never knew. President David J. Freeman "SHOW YOUR MEMBERSHIP CARD AT ALL EVENTS". Look for your card and keep it in your wallet.
